Wet felting: I did the roving technique, but because it was all the same wool the roving got a little blended and lost once I felted it. Overall I really like how it turned out, I love the colour of the wool. I didn't think it would be that hard, but it was! My first attempt wasn't good ... so for this square I made sure to roll it for almost 15 minutes.
Nuno felting: I did not use the pool noodle for felting, instead I followed what the tutorial stated and used bubble wrap on each side when rolling. I found this method to make it look a little sloppy, as you can see the edges are not clean and it took a completely different shape than the square shape that I started with. I attempted to make an image of a butterfly, but because of the sloppy felting it is a bit hard to see a butterfly. I wish I hadn't put the cotton gauze on the top layer, because in my opinion it takes away from the pretty pink colours of the wool. I used netting and it got stuck in the wool once I felted it, which resulted in thinner parts from trying to separate the netting and felt. Overall, I am pleased with my final product and I know for next time to use a pool noodle when felting and a different form of netting.
Needle felting: I wanted to create a little bunny so my bunny could have a cute little friend :) Unfortunately I did not have enough black wool to make a bunny that looks just like Bun, but I like that they are different because I don't think I could've gotten the felted bunny to be as cute as my Bun. I watched quite a few Youtube tutorials on how to make felted bunnies, but ultimately I did sort of free hand it. I did the crooked ears to match my bunnies ears... he was a little shy in the picture so you can't see what his ears look like when he's alert and curious. I didn't want it too look realistic because to be honest, it kind of creeps me out how realistic felted animals can be. I am fascinated with pictures of realistic felted animals, but since I will be keeping mine I wanted it to be more stuffed-animal-like. I wanted my felted bunny to resemble a cartoon-like animal.
